Sadaf Syed
I am a Global Business Student at The University of Texas at Dallas, focused on sales and marketing. I was a restaurant manager for my mom's family-owned restaurant and banquet hall. Anything that you would imagine would happen in events and a dining restaurant, I have done and continue to do. As a vice president at the Institute of Medieval and Post-Medieval Studies (IMPMS), I lead and support various outreach projects that promote the understanding and appreciation of medieval and post-medieval studies in connection with today's world by taking inspiration from past scholars and using it as a motivation for the new generations. This program focuses on motivating and inspiring the youth. I am also a DJ, and I have been mixing and playing music for over five years, mainly at local venues and private parties. I enjoy combining my passions for music.
I am fluent in English, Farsi, Spanish, and Turkish. I am proficient in many different sales and business technologies. I have skills in management, operations, customer-focused service, public speaking, and more. My core competencies include research, communication, creativity, and leadership. My mission is to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with diverse audiences, connect with people, and continue learning and growing. My values and goals are to foster curiosity, respect, and dialogue among different communities and perspectives and to pursue lifelong learning and personal growth.
